PASA is bringing its popular CPO Exchange to New Zealand for the first time ever this autumn, hosting a two-day strategic conversation for the country’s senior procurement leaders.
The premier invite-only event will take place at the Rydges Formosa Auckland Golf Resort on 22-23 May, following a similar format to the Australian CPO Exchange which is now entering its 14th year.
Procurement leaders will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, participate in roundtable discussions on current challenges and collaborate in a dynamic learning environment.
Who will be there?
Across the two-day program, attendees will hear from:
- Katrina Ell, Director and Lead Economist for APAC – Moody’s Analytics, on navigating global and regional economic & geopolitical tensions
- Chris Sawchuk, Global Lead of Procurement Practice at The Hackett Group, beamed live by Zoom from Florida, USA, on the top ten issues facing procurement leaders today – plus a Q&A moderated by MC Jonathan Dutton
- James Houston, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Frucor Suntory, on procurement’s role in business strategy and transformation
- Ross Darah, Founder and CEO at Pareto Toolbox, on what procurement leadership will look like in New Zealand in the near term
- William Pegg, Managing Director at Synthesis Group Brisbane, on rebranding procurement as business partners
- Alan Carnaby, MBIE, NZ Government, on the new Payment Times legislation, what’s next? eInvoicing is becoming the norm in New Zealand
- Jonathan Dutton FCIPS, MC and Moderator, on building efficiency, collaboration and transparency in procurement
What else is happening?
There will be five CPO roundtables across both days, covering a range of topics.
All but one of the CPO roundtable topics are generated two weeks prior to the event, with CPOs usually invited to chair each 50 minute session, to ensure maximum topicality and relevance.
CPO speed meetings with key vendor partners run for a maximum of 30 minutes and are synchronised with the roundtables, on the hour and half hour throughout most of the event.
On day two, MC Jonathan Dutton will host a workshop on ‘How to sell New Zealand: is it time for Kiwi buyers to learn how to sell?’
There will also be time for breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and networking, plus the CPO Exchange Dinner at the end of day one.
The informal CPO Exchange Dinner is an opportunity to unwind with peers and be entertained by PASA’s special guest star. A relaxed and fun affair, the dinner is the networking highlight of the event, with partners welcome to attend.
At the end of the two days, a complimentary coach will leave for Auckland Airport, but the weekend commences for those who are staying on!
