State of Flux launches 2026 SRM research

2026 SRM Research

State of Flux has launched its 18th annual global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) research, announcing a brand new theme for 2026: “Making SRM Stick”.

This year, the largest and most in-depth study of supplier management practices worldwide focuses on best practices for hard‑wiring SRM into operating models, decision‑making processes and organisational culture, embedding it not only in formal processes and policies but also in everyday behaviours and ways of working.

It explores how aligned internal teams, empowered supplier‑facing roles and sustained executive sponsorship help ensure SRM is applied consistently, scaled across the enterprise and delivers lasting value.

“Making SRM stick is about turning good intent into consistent execution,” said Alan Day, Chairman and Founder of State of Flux.

“The organisations that do this well embed SRM into how people work, make decisions and engage with suppliers every day. This research helps organisations understand what best practice looks like in reality, and how they compare.”

The survey, which is strictly confidential, is designed for professionals involved in supplier management, including procurement and sourcing leaders, SRM and supplier performance managers, commercial, operations, finance and risk professionals involved in managing strategic suppliers.

Participants are encouraged to gather input from a cross-functional group to gain a full picture of their organisation’s approach and opportunities for improvement.
