Last week at PASA’s 13th Annual Premier ConfeX, Proxima announced an expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, revealing it’s joining forces with leading APAC procurement consultancy ArcBlue.
Following Proxima’s success across the UK, US and Europe – and just a year on from launching in the DACH region – the collaboration will see new permanent hubs pop up in Singapore and Melbourne, which will strengthen regional coverage.
Combining Proxima’s three decades of experience and global reach with ArcBlue’s local expertise and long-standing client relationships, the partnership will bring “the best of both firms“ to the market, delivering lasting, purposeful and profitable change.
Since joining Bain & Company in 2022, Proxima has enhanced its “Strategy to Execution”, delivering measurable value to clients around the world.
The global procurement and supply chain consulting firm said the move bolsters that offering by creating a simplified, best-in-class delivery platform, while unlocking hundreds of millions of dollars in realised value annually.
The integration will ensure seamless continuity for ArcBlue’s existing clients under the Proxima umbrella, while allowing them to benefit from an expanded set of global capabilities.
Leading the APAC expansion is Melbourne-based Proxima Executive Vice President Daniel Collings, who will be supported by a team of senior leaders from across the region, including Chris Hampden.
Hampden, who will run the new Singapore office, has been responsible for the performance and growth of ArcBlue across Southeast Asia over the past three years.
Collings called the partnership an “exciting moment” for ArcBlue, Proxima and for procurement consulting in the Asia-Pacific region.
“We’re not just expanding geographically; we’re creating something truly exciting by bringing together Proxima’s global knowledge and methods with ArcBlue’s exceptional local expertise and client relationships,” he said.
“Procurement teams around the world are being asked to face enormous cost pressures whilst simultaneously seeking to address increasingly complex business challenges, from supply chain resilience to AI adoption, to sustainability mandates.
“By combining forces, we’re creating the most comprehensive procurement consultancy offering in the market, one that can deliver both immediate results and long-term strategic value.
“The procurement function has never been more critical to business success. With organisations typically spending around 70 percent of their revenues with third-party suppliers, the external enterprise is an immense source of value. We’re here to help Asia-Pacific businesses unlock even more value through world-class procurement.”
Echoing Collings’s enthusiasm, Hampden called the move “an exciting new chapter”.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what more we can do as a bigger and more globally focused team,” he said.
“With many global businesses expanding their supplier footprint in Southeast and South Asia, it has never been more critical for us to provide crucial insights and delivery to ensure our partners understand the trade-offs between cost, resilience and risk when operating or expanding into this market.
“I’m proud of the team and the momentum we’re building in APAC and for what comes next.”
