New Zealand

The New Zealand Procurement Excellence Forum (NZPEF) has introduced its 2025-2026 committee, which will be chaired by WSP New Zealand Limited’s Group Procurement Manager, Ineke Brockie.

Louise Edmunds will take up the position of deputy chair, while Tania Killeen-Noy will act as treasurer and Karinne Addis as secretary.

Fellow committee members include:

  • Knowledge Sharing & Networking: Brian Mangano
  • Talent: Andy Richards
  • Communications: Helen Hodgkinson (MCIPS)
  • Celebrating Success: Diedrik Oomens (MCIPS)
  • Revenue: Rohit Tolani

“A huge thank you to Diedrik Oomens MCIPS for his exceptional leadership as chair over the past three years. We’re grateful for his dedication and excited to see him continue contributing in a new role on the committee,” said the NZPEF in a LinkedIn statement.

“Here’s to an exciting term ahead; full of fresh ideas, collaboration and impact. If you’d like to connect or contribute, feel free to reach out to any of the committee members.”

Oomens said his time as chair had been an “incredible ride” and welcomed the new committee members.

“For the past three years, I’ve had the immense privilege of chairing the New Zealand Procurement Excellence Forum. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind network, bringing together brilliant procurement minds from both the public and private sectors here in Aotearoa to really push our profession forward,” he said.

“Three years have flown by and it’s time for me to pass the baton. And honestly, I couldn’t be more thrilled with who’s stepping up! A huge congratulations and welcome to Ineke Brockie as our new chair, Louise Edmunds as deputy chair and all the other committee members. They are going to do amazing things for procurement in New Zealand, and I can’t wait to see the PEF continue to thrive under their leadership.”

Incoming Deputy Chair Louise Edmunds shared her enthusiasm for her new position in a LinkedIn statement.

“Some people clock in, clock out and chase the weekend. Me? I chase better outcomes, stronger partnerships, smarter spending, thoughtful leadership and the occasional elusive stakeholder approval,” she said.

“Procurement isn’t just what I do – it’s a core part of who I am. It’s the thrill of untangling a complex problem, the quiet pride of negotiating a win-win and the satisfaction of seeing a project move from “idea” to “impact.” My career has taken me deep into the mechanics of value creation – one contract, one conversation, one collaboration at a time.

“That’s why being part of the New Zealand Procurement Excellence Forum isn’t just a title – it’s a privilege. It’s a seat at the table with some really exceptional and likeminded people, where ideas are shared, standards are lifted and the future of our profession is shaped.

“Supporting the procurement sector in Aotearoa means contributing to something bigger than myself – something that touches communities, strengthens organisations and helps create real public good. So yes, this is more than just a job. It’s purpose. It’s passion. It’s a privilege!”

The Auckland-based NZPEF brings together like-minded and committed procurement professionals who view the procurement profession as an exciting, fast evolving, innovative and creative specialisation, and are willing to share their knowledge with each other for the purpose of further enhancing, developing and celebrating the procurement profession in New Zealand.
