Last chance: space extended for Brisbane Big Breakfast

Brisbane Big Breakfast

Following the real success of PASA’s Big Brekky events around the region, this year’s Big Breakfast in Brisbane will have an expanded capacity for the ‘home fixture’ in PASA’s home state of Queensland. However, last year’s event was popular, so you’ll need to be quick as time is running out to secure your space.

Join us on Tuesday 22nd August from 7am at The Grand Chancellor hotel for a “one-day” expanded program, squeezed into a four-hour window, bringing you more procurement networking and knowledge over a tasty breakfast.

Why attend?

Aside from networking with colleagues and peers from around your region to connect, share and learn together, you’ll have the opportunity to:

● Get across issues facing procurement now and in the future – and what you can do about them in practice
● Tap into new procurement thinking from specially recruited procurement thought-leaders and experts
● Hear real-world case studies from leading procurement practitioners and organisations, often facing the same challenges as you

The full program explores a number of key challenges facing the procurement profession, including:

● Mitigating the effects of high inflation – refocusing on value creation over cost savings
● Rebalancing sourcing decisions based on risk management as well as cost advantage
● Reviewing the future of global sourcing from Australia and New Zealand in the face of deglobalisation worldwide
● Delivering on stakeholder demands for raised ESG standards from the supply side
● Capturing the true benefits now available from eProcurement technology and digitalisation work
● Understanding local needs and differences

We will be joined by several high-profile speakers from across the region, covering topics such as rebalancing cost vs. risk on inbound supply chains, global sourcing opportunities and challenges for Australia in a shifting trade landscape, and value beyond cost.

Meanwhile, PASA’s CEO Jonathan Dutton will talk briefly about talent development and crafting your procurement L&D plan for the post-Covid era.

It’s set to be an unmissable event in Brisbane, but don’t just take our word for it, here’s what people say about our events:

I very much enjoyed the depth and variety of skills experience of the presenters.” – Procurement Professional 2022

It was great to hear a wide range of presentations from a diverse mix of speakers, especially in person.” – Procurement Professional 2022
