Sharyn County, General Manager of Procurement and Real Estate at APA Group, has been nominated for a 2026 ABLE (Author Book Launch & Expo) Golden Book Award, recognising her 2025 debut release, ‘What Now…I Don’t Have Kids!’
The powerful memoir chronicles Sharyn’s deeply personal four-year battle with infertility, including the physical struggles, psychological grief and heartache associated with discontinuing IVF treatment.
“The book discusses the often overlooked, stigmatised and silent topic of infertility,” Sharyn told PASA in an exclusive interview.
“It provides a raw and honest account of my journey, offering comfort and support to those struggling with similar challenges.
“I want to encourage readers to appreciate what they have, rather than dwelling on what they don’t have or can’t control. By sharing my story, I aim to help others feel less alone and offer them hope and understanding.”

The winners will be announced at the ABLE Gala Dinner & Awards Night on 17 October 2026 in Melbourne.
