PASA popular short online training courses and also live in person courses have been added to a bolstered nationally-renowned program for 2022.
New for the year is courses back in the classroom in the workshop format.
PASA CEO Jonathan Dutton said the courses are centred around its two most popular topics, agile procurement and negotiation, with a programme of 24-courses now available. These cover several topics.
“New for this year is the debut in Australian and New Zealand of the Lean Agile Procurement Alliance (LAP2) programme with agile procurement guru Mirko Kleiner, live from Zurich,” Jonathan said.
“Mirko himself will be explaining the LAP2 journey to the PASA alumni group on Tuesday May 3 2022 to the free event.”
Mirko Kleiner was instrumental in developing the concepts and methodology and IP of Agile Procurement and subsequently developing the LAP1 training course, successfully delivered by Mirko worldwide and in Australia and New Zealand through PASA – the approved local partner for the procurement industry in ANZ.
Bookings for the LAP1 and LAP2 course are available, the latter is only available to graduates of the LAP1 course.

“PASA has taken steps to mirror the requirements of contemporary procurement practices once again and through our research we’ve added two additional supplementary short-workshops, Scrum For Procurement and the Big Room Simulation Workshop,” Jonathan said.
The “Big Room” is a live in-person interactive engagement workshop (also available virtually).
“It is a little like a live version of the tender process, concertinaed into two full days, or several half-days online,” Jonathan said.

A new negotiation trainer has been added to the PASA team this year: Paul Rogers FCIPS, one of the most renowned procurement consultants in Australia.
“Mr Rogers will be facilitating a series of brand new negotiation workshops designed specifically for established procurement practitioners, delivered online over three mornings for each course,” Jonathan said.
These culminate in the ‘Advanced level programme’ later in the year available live in Melbourne over two full days.
Also new this year, a new programme addressing specific needs: Post-pandemic procurement: Buying during inflationary times, also with Mr Rogers FCIPS
“This programme meets a growing need for busy procurement people – inflation is growing quickly and many current practitioners are out of practice in managing rising cost bases,” Mr Dutton said.
“Participants can learn offer ways to manage inflationary pressures as well as tactics to include in contracting and commercial negotiations to help.
Mr Dutton said PASA had made a conscious effort to keep 2022 in line with 2021 prices. A standing 20% discount is available for all PASA Connect members.
PASA has special rates available to in-house delivery or team-attendance.
