PASA Conference Schedule July to December 2020

Virtual Conferencing = Smart Conferencing

PASA is delighted to announce that conferences for the remainder of 2020 will mainly be delivered virtually,using smart online event platforms.

This is not a decision that we have rushed into lightly. Like many, I was sceptical about the ability of virtual events to deliver the same level of learning, networking and interaction that you experience at a physical event. However, a few months of operating in the socially distanced world of Covid19 has completely changed that view.

I now believe that in most cases the learning and networking experiences will be so much better with the following advantages:

  • Ease of attendance – Grab a coffee and join the conference live from your own desk. This is very much like attending a physical conference, with a reception area, main stage and breakout session rooms, networking areas and trade show.
  • The need for travel budget is eliminated – no more justifying inter-state travel.
  • More efficient use of time – attend for part or parts of the days that are most relevant to you. Virtual conference days will be shorter than for physical ones at between four – five hours (as opposed to eight – nine at a physical event). Days will include dedicated times for mainstage sessions,breakout sessions, meet-ups and networking, exploring the trade show, and refreshments.
  • FREE buyer delegate attendance – whereas previously conference tickets were available to be purchased, our new virtual model enables buyer delegates to attend free of charge.
