PASA 2017 Events Schedule: Upcoming Events
A special two-day event examining procurement capability today – and the likely demands on supply side professionals of the future Sydney, 22-23 November 2017. The demands on professional procurement are growing. Organisations want ever more from their supply side. But do we have the true capability to be able to do this. Do we have the people we need; and the talent? Do we have the processes we need; and the technology? Do we have the data we will need; and the information? Are we organised optimally; with the right structure for our organisation’s needs? These are the questions we will be exploring over two days at ‘Building Procurement Capability’.
PASA 2018 Events Schedule: Upcoming Events
As procurement seeks to move up the value curve, adoption of technology to streamline processes, automate transactional work and provide better spend data is becoming imperative. ProcureTECH is the only event in the region focussed purely on technology solutions that enable and assist the procurement function. The prime feature of the event is of course the technology showcase, where attendees have the opportunity to view a wide variety of solutions at the same time and in the same place. The event will also feature a series of mini-workshops on key issues such as making the business case for adoption, selecting the right solution, ensuring a smooth implementation, driving adoption, and measuring the ROI on a technology investment. Delegates will have the option to pay a small fee to attend the workshops, or to attend on a Free ‘Hosted Buyer’ basis, whereby they commit to a fixed number of pre-scheduled meetings with participating solutions providers.
The PASA CPO Summit
The PASA CPO Summit will bring together CPO’s from across the ANZ region for two days of learning, exploration, sharing and ‘real’ networking. The programme will feature a limited number of high-quality presentation sessions, interspersed with round-table discussions on key issues facing procurement leaders today. To facilitate the ‘real’ networking, there will also be time built into the programme for pre-arranged meetings between attendees. Utilising a meetings scheduling app, CPO’s will be able to arrange meetings with other CPO’s, or if they want to, our sponsor partners. The conference will also feature a networking dinner on the middle night, with entertainment that is sure to delight and intrigue.
The 4th Annual Aged Care Procurement Conference will be held on the 18th & 19th April at Melbourne Olympic Park, Melbourne.
PASA will bring together the country’s leading Procurement, Financial, Operational and Clinical professionals and Aged Care suppliers addressing the specific challenges of Aged Care Procurement.
In 2017 BTTB/PASA partnered with GBTA – The Global Business Travel Association- to deliver a range of educational and networking services to corporate travel buyers in the ANZ region. The highlight of the year will be the btTB- GBTA Annual Conference, the regions premier event for all buyers, managers and suppliers of business travel providing corporate travel category managers and their suppliers with the best opportunity of the year to meet, learn and share best practice. After the outstanding success of the first combined event in 2017, we anticipate only bigger and better things for the 2018 event.
MRO & Asset Management for Procurement
This one-day conference followed by a one-day workshop will focus on the role of procurement in managing critical spare parts. Balancing the disproportionately high cost of stock-outs with the need to reduce capital tied up in inventory presents procurement with a significant challenge. The event programme will appeal to anybody responsible for procuring and managing spare parts for maintenance, repairs and operations.
The 9th PASA CPO Exchange
The CPO Exchange provides invited heads of procurement with the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing, informative couple of days in the company of their peers and a number of leading suppliers of products, tools or services. The PASA NZ ConfeX
ConfeX is the name we give to our general procurement events, however they are far from run of the mill. PASA ConfeX’s always have a strong theme that looks to challenge traditional procurement thinking, while helping procurement professionals address their most pressing challenges. The NZ ConfeX will feature a one-day conference programme, followed by one day of workshops.

The PASA Premier ConfeX – Sydney
Responding to numerous requests from Sydney-based procurement professionals for an event like Premier Confex, We will in 2018 re-produce virtually exactly the same event in Sydney as was held in Melbourne a few weeks earlier. For sponsors and exhibitors this will provide the opportunity to engage with a whole new audience, who primarily due to budget constraints, have not been able to attend the Melbourne event in recent years.
