Make the final 100 days of 2026 count

New Podcast

How will you spend the final 100 days of 2026? In a new Procurement Pivots podcast episode, hosts Donna Bowden and Laura Sellers encourage procurement professionals to reflect on their progress, reset their priorities and build momentum for the year ahead.

The two procurement coaches acknowledge that while September can bring renewed energy and motivation, this energy can quickly fade as workloads increase and day-to-day demands take over.

Rather than focusing immediately on unfinished goals or missed opportunities, Bowden and Sellers invite listeners to start by recognising what has already happened in 2026.

What are you most proud of? What have you enjoyed and learned? Which challenges have you overcome, and what do those experiences reveal about the direction you want your career to take?

They also encourage listeners to consider which aspects of their role give them energy, which drain it and how they want to feel at the end of the year.

The episode explores the obstacles that could disrupt good intentions and the importance of translating broader career goals and priorities into manageable milestones.

According to Bowden and Sellers, writing down priorities and creating accountability can help procurement professionals stay focused when daily pressures return.

Recognising smaller wins along the way can also strengthen confidence and self-belief, rather than making progress dependent on achieving one major outcome.

“This isn’t about putting yourself under pressure to achieve a huge list of goals before 31 December. It’s about being intentional,” they say. “A lot can happen in 100 days.”

The episode ultimately asks procurement professionals to consider what they could finish, change or leave behind before the end of 2026 and how the progress made now could position them for greater career momentum in 2027.
