Last chance to enter PASA’s Nigels Awards

Nigels

Time is running out to submit your entry for the prestigious PASA Annual Procurement in Practice Awards 2024 – renamed ‘The Nigels’ in honour of PASA’s late founder Nigel Wardropper.

Entries close on Friday 13 September, so get in quick!

The peer-reviewed winners will be announced at The 12th Annual PASA Premier Confex, which will take place on 16-17 October at the Flemington Racecourse Conference Centre in Melbourne.

The top three shortlisted finalists in each category will present their 10-minute case study entry live in person, in the plenary session of the largest and most influential procurement event in the ANZ region.

It’s easy to enter with no convoluted entry forms here!

To help you create a nomination that will dazzle the judges, Paul Rogers, Chair of The Nigels judging panel, has put together his 10 top tips for preparing an entry.

This year’s two new award categories are:

  • The Best Procurement Project 2024: Private Sector – sponsored by GEP
  • The Best Procurement Project 2024: Public Sector – sponsored & endorsed by the APCC

Both categories recognise the alignment of defined value delivery of a particular project in a measured, responsible and professional way.

The most prestigious award, won last year by RAAFA WA, is the Most Improved Procurement Team Award.

This coveted award recognises the greatest improvement in a procurement team’s capability – through either people, process, technology, strategic, organisational or cultural improvement, or just good leadership, specifically recognisable in the previous year.

It reflects Nigel Wardropper’s strong passion that relative improvement is a greater prize than scale or inherited corporate capability.

A donation of all entry fees from this award is doubled each year by PASA and sent to The Heart Foundation in memory of Nigel.

Remember, nominations close on 13 September – so don’t delay.
