Last chance: secure your space for Sydney Big Breakfast

Sydney Big Breakfast

Following the tremendous success of the 2022 Big Breakfast series, this year sees six more events in six cities across Australia and New Zealand. Next up, PASA is heading to Sydney in September for the final Big Breakfast event of the year, but you’ll need to be quick as time is running out to secure your space.

Join us on Wednesday 13th September from 7am at the Hilton Hotel for a “one-day” program, squeezed into a snappy four-hour window, bringing you more procurement networking and knowledge over a tasty breakfast…and you’ll be back in the office by 11:30am too!

Why attend?

Aside from networking with colleagues and peers from around your region to connect, share and learn together, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Get across issues facing procurement now and in the future – and what you can do about them in practice
  • Tap into new procurement thinking from specially recruited procurement thought-leaders and experts
  • Hear real-world case studies from leading procurement practitioners and organisations, often facing the same challenges as you

We will be joined by several high-profile speakers from across the region, including Michelle Richard, Director of Procurement at Thales; Kobus van der Wath, CEO at Axis Group International; Gwen Inglis, CPO at Veolia; and Phillip McDonald, CPO at Woolworths being interviewed on stage by PASA CEO and Big Breakfast MC, Jonathan Dutton.

They will cover topics such as:

  • Value over cost: why would you want to work in defence procurement?
  • Global sourcing opportunities and challenges for Australia in a shifting trade landscape
  • Value beyond cost: the one-on-one interview with Phillip McDonald
  • Value including cost: how Veolia are managing sustained savings and enhanced cash flow in the context of working to deliver supply side ESG commitments in a sustainable organisation

Meanwhile, PASA’s CEO Jonathan Dutton will talk briefly about crafting your procurement L&D plan for the post-Covid era, plus the four unavoidable questions facing procurement throughout 2023.

The full program explores a number of key challenges facing the procurement profession, including mitigating the effects of high inflation – refocusing on value creation over cost savings, rebalancing sourcing decisions based on risk management as well as cost advantage, and reviewing the future of global sourcing from Australia and New Zealand in the face of deglobalisation worldwide.

We’ll also cover delivering on stakeholder demands for raised ESG standards from the supply side, capturing the true benefits now available from eProcurement technology and digitalisation work, and understanding local needs and differences.

It’s set to be an unmissable event in Sydney but don’t just take our word for it, here’s what a recent delegate had to say at our sold-out Brisbane Big Breakfast:

“What’s different about the PASA events is the joined-up theming and how the sheer impact from the synergy of all the core presentations makes it easy to apply the lessons to our own organisation’s specific needs from the moment we get back in the office”.
