Kinaway Chamber of Commerce, a leading Victorian organisation dedicated to supporting Victorian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owners, is searching for a new full-time Chief Executive Officer to implement its strategic plan and grow the corporation’s investment in its people.

Based in South Melbourne, the role will see the new CEO contribute to the organisation’s focus on changing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s lives through a strength-based model of business ownership and participation in the Victorian economy.

Working directly with key stakeholders, government and a board of directors, the position’s key responsibilities will also include setting the strategic direction of the company, overseeing day-to-day operations, driving growth and innovation, plus ensuring the continued success and sustainability of the organisation.

The incoming CEO will have a track record of growing an organisation with a high-performance culture that values diversity of thought and experience.

Kinaway Chamber of Commerce will highly regard exceptional stakeholder management, influencing skills, community engagement expertise, and strategic and commercial acumen, while expertise in government advocacy, liaison and engagement is considered mandatory.

Kinaway has been highly active in Indigenous procurement, with procurement a key space in their work supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.
