PASA recently hosted the 3rd Sustainable Procurement & ESG Today event on 15-16th November, which saw over 250 delegates gather online for two days of invaluable content from ESG supply side leaders.
For the third year running, the highly-anticipated online event offered pragmatic tips on how to understand sustainable procurement and the supply side environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda, with a huge focus on traction and impact over just policy.
Geared around the Top 9 ESG priorities for procurement in 2023 and 2024, as defined by the PASA Connect CPO Roundtable earlier in the year, the event examined a number of relevant topics in great detail, including:
- The Modern Slavery Act
- Payment Times Reporting
- Net zero targets and scope 3
- Indigenous procurement
- Gender & supplier diversity
- Social procurement
- Supply chain tracking
- Buy local policies
- Category case studies on FM and food
Across both days, 11 high-profile speakers took to the virtual stage for a professional deep dive into their respective areas of expertise. Attendees heard from Anu Srinivasan (PWC) on the practical inclusion of ESG demands in procurement strategy, and Tanya Harris & Dr Daniel Rojas Sanchez (EDGE Impact Advisory) on procurement and net zero.
While Katy Barfield (Yume) spoke about helping food buyers save money and meet sustainability targets, and David Burrell (Jarrah) discussed the ESG agenda in the property, waste and facilities management category.
PASA’s CEO, Jonathan Dutton, also briefly presented The Golden Slide: a one-page business case on ESG that explains it all to your CFO.
