Kinaway – the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Victoria – is currently searching for a new full-time chief executive officer based in Melbourne.
Reporting directly to the Board, the incoming CEO will deliver Kinaway’s strategic priorities with measurable outcomes, while strengthening financial and operational sustainability and building strong relationships with government, corporate and community stakeholders.
They will also maintain Kinaway’s credibility and influence in Victoria, while supporting a respectful and safe workplace with fair and consistent performance expectations.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to build and maintain senior government relationships and influence policy outcomes, demonstrate success in securing government and partner funding, and understand the opportunities and challenges of Aboriginal businesses in Victoria.
Proven experience of leading organisations and teams with integrity and accountability is also highly sought after, alongside strong financial and operational management capability, great interpersonal skills and the ability to work across diverse stakeholders.
The position, which closes on 1 December 2025, is designated for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people only and is closed to current business owners.
Kinaway currently supports more than 330 certified Aboriginal businesses and works closely with more than 250 corporate partners to build practical and sustainable opportunities.
