Following the sudden resignation of former CIPS CEO Nick Welby in November, it was announced this week that CIPS Board of Trustees has appointed Matt Howell as Interim CEO.
Alison Barto, Chair, Global Board of Trustees, revealed that the recruitment process for a permanent CEO has already started, with Howell set to remain in the post until the permanent CEO vacancy has been filled.
Howell’s UK and international career spans the private sector as well as professional bodies and the membership sector, with experience in strategy and market development.
His previous posts include Managing Director, UK and Ireland, for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Deputy Chief Executive of the British Medical Association.
In an official statement to members, Barto said that Howell, along with the executive and wider leadership team, will focus on the continuing development of CIPS technology platforms, plus finalising and communicating the CIPS five-year strategy both internally and externally.
