Business Renewables Centre Australia (BRC-A) – Australia’s leading organisation for corporate power purchase agreements (PPA) guidance and education – has released details of its latest Corporate PPA Training Bootcamp, which will take place in Melbourne on 10–11th October.
This 1.5-day workshop covers everything attendees who are looking to procure off-site renewable energy need to know to start or progress with the PPA process. It involves structured, scenario-based learning with Australian companies that have executed PPAs.
Participants learn from BRC-A’s Buyers Faculty, which consists of experienced people within buyer organisations across a wide range of sectors with in-depth PPA knowledge.
The Buyers Faculty provides real-world takeaways and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of corporate renewable energy procurement that can only be accessed in a community of learning.
The bootcamp allows attendees to ask questions they haven’t yet asked in an open environment while building relationships with people in similar roles.
On completion, attendees will:
- Understand energy market basics
- Understand the options available to reach net zero goals through PPAs and which option(s) best suit their organisation
- Have engaged in peer-to-peer learning with case studies
- Understand risks and opportunities and how to manage them
- Connect sustainability goals to practical decarbonisation action
- Have the confidence required to build internal support and start the procurement process
The bootcamp, which is worth 6 CDP points (Green Building Council of Australia), is designed for sustainability managers, procurement managers, energy managers, CFOs and finance managers procuring energy for their organisation.
