This year, the 23rd year of btTB Conference, the region’s biggest business travel event, we will be recognising two-way excellence in travel management. Entries are open for the Travel Buyer-Supplier Relationship Award, which will acknowledge an outstanding arrangement and relationship between a travel buyer and its supplier.
Perhaps too often, the two sides of travel management are considered too separately. With the current disruptions and developments in the supply chain, and the ever greater need for mutual understanding, it is a good time to recognise and promote successful two-way procurement effort.
We are looking for a joint entry with input from both sides, you and your supplier. Your supplier could be a TMC, an online booking tool, an airline, an accommodation property or chain, an aggregator, a car rental firm, a GDS, a payment system, an EMS, a travel IT firm or some other contributor in your travel supply chain.
The judging panel’s criteria will be transparency, collaboration, value to both parties, monitoring and measurement, and processes.
If you have a great relationship across the business travel table, get together, write it down and send it in. We will not only be awarding a best entry, but also “Relationships of Merit”.
The winners will be announced at the btTB Conference on Wednesday August 16th. The Conference theme this year is “For You and By You”.
