Brisbane 2032 searches for Director of Procurement to help deliver the largest sporting event in Queensland history

Calling all senior procurement leaders, the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee (Brisbane 2032) is searching for a new Director of Procurement to lead the establishment and delivery of the procurement function for the biggest sporting event in Australia.

According to the official job spec, the role will oversee the sourcing of products and services by Brisbane 2032 and management of material resources over their lifecycle, in a way that ensures delivery, budget and sustainability objectives are achieved.

This includes procuring a wide range of materials and equipment for building, fitting-out and dressing venues, to sports equipment, event production, merchandise and accommodation.

As a part of the foundational Brisbane 2032 team, the Director of Procurement will eventually build a full procurement team, working closely and effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders in an agile and fast-evolving environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar procurement leadership role within a major multi-sport event environment plus a strong understanding of the Queensland Procurement Policy.

The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the largest event in South-East Queensland’s history, with huge potential to transform the region.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a critical part of the journey, helping to deliver the strategic vision and set Brisbane 2032 up for success.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 8th December 2023, but interested parties are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
