APCC releases ‘How to Start a Career in Procurement’ guide

Career In Procurement

The Australasian Procurement & Construction Council (APCC) has released its ‘How to Start a Career in Procurement: A Guide for Graduates and Career Changers’ article, developed in collaboration with AcademyGlobal.

Forming part of the organisation’s awareness campaign to address the talent gap in procurement, the fourth article in the series delves into several key areas, including why procurement is a dynamic and high-impact career choice.

It also covers the essential mix of technical & interpersonal skills needed to thrive in this career and the growing importance of qualifications in procurement, while dispensing practical advice for graduates and career changers – from internships to leveraging transferable skills.

“Whether you’re a graduate stepping into the workforce or a professional considering a career change, procurement offers a pathway filled with exciting opportunities to make a real impact,” said the APCC.

“From driving sustainability and ethical supply chains to tackling societal challenges like climate change and economic resilience, procurement is much more than you think – it’s about shaping the future.”
