Tara Anderson takes helm at Social Traders

There’s been a changing of the guard at Social Traders former Executive Director of Strategy and Growth Tara Anderson taking the helm as CEO. 

Tara takes on the position following Mike McKinstry’s decision to retire after a two-year stint.

Social Traders said in a media release that the board respected Mike’s decision and thank him for his contribution to the organisation. 

“The Board are confident that Tara will bring continuity to the role through her strong knowledge of Social Traders operations and relationships across the social enterprise sector,” Social Traders said about Tara’s appointment. 

“Tara brings significant international experience across social enterprise, charities, and for-purpose intermediaries in the UK, Europe and Australia.” 

Tara has experience in strategy, business development, innovation, marketing and cross-sector collaboration at executive and Board level. 

“She has led large scale collaborations, designed and implemented organisational-wide strategies for growth and diversification, and repositioned brands for increased impact.”

Social Traders Chair, Sally Powell said: “The Board of Social Traders is delighted to appoint Tara Anderson as the organisation’s third Chief Executive.
