Last month, the PASA team was sad to announce that our Founder and Managing Director, Nigel Wardropper, had passed away. He left behind a thriving procurement community and a growing business that is continuing to deliver outstanding events and thought-leadership.
Now, PASA is pleased to announce that from January 1st 2021, Jonathan Dutton will assume the role of PASA’s CEO.
Jonathon is a highly experienced and well-known figure in Australasian procurement, having been the Managing Director of CIPSA (The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Australasia) from 2004 to 2013. Since then, Jonathan launched an independent consultancy (JD Consultancy) and has worked closely with Nigel and his wife Lesley to fulfil commitments including acting as MC and guest speaker at PASA conferences, and developing and delivering PASA Connect.
Prior to his time leading CIPSA, Jonathan held senior roles in sales and marketing for QANTAS, Chubb and Regus, after beginning his career in procurement at British Airways.
Jonathan became MCIPS by examination in 1988, FCIPS in 2008, and has remained close to procurement over his 35-year career.
As someone who is very familiar with the business and knows the PASA community well, Jonathan is a natural fit for this position. Lesley is now the sole owner of PASA and will continue to work at PASA full-time and both her and Jonathan look forward to delivering an exciting program of events for the Australasian procurement community in 2021.
Looking ahead to 2021
PASA’s prolific conference program will continue to serve the procurement community into 2021, featuring PASA CONNECT, PASA AGILE, general procurement training and events, category or topic-specific events, and sector-specific events.
The latest conference schedule can be found here and will continue to be updated with additional training events and initiatives.
