Crowd-sourced delivery company, Go People has further expanded its service offering with the introduction of a software as a service (SaaS) logistics and dispatching web app – if you have a look at this article, you will find out more about the future of saas. The aim is to help Aussie businesses compete with delivery times of the large-scale retail giants. SaaS companies are some of the fastest-growing in any industry. However, failure is a realistic prospect for companies that don’t value SaaS data and Product Analytics. Visit https://heap.io/solutions/saas for more details on this.
The new GoSHIFT Pro software allows retailers and businesses to take advantage of Go People’s proprietary algorithms to determine the best route for deliveries. Most notably, GoSHIFT Pro users will benefit from being able to group deliveries and assign each group using either Go People’s on-demand courier network of Runners, or their own drivers, providing them with the tools to upload and manage bulk deliveries internally. Other companies looking to manage couriers and a delivery fleet may wish to utilzie software which can optimize your driver’s routes to improve efficiency in the senses of both time and money.
Wayne Wang, founder and CEO of Go People believes the new solution is what small merchants need to be able to compete with large-scale retailers, particularly now Amazon has arrived on Australian shores.
“It makes economic sense for some businesses to employ their own drivers, especially if they require specific training,” he says. “But they’re often challenged by a lack of transparency over deliveries and their limited means to manage them.
“Now, businesses with their own drivers will be able to reap the rewards and efficiency of Go People’s advanced logistics management systems by integrating their own drivers into the Go People system. This includes estimated working times, smart routing, instant proof of delivery, and real-time GPS tracking technology.”
“Following our R&D efforts, we’ve added these new functionalities and features, so we can move away from being purely a delivery and logistics service to integrating SaaS offerings, using a freemium model,” said Wang.
The new service is an extension of the startup’s GoSHIFT offering, released in July 2017, which enabled businesses to hire shift based dedicated drivers as and when needed. Following the success of GoSHIFT and further investment in research and development, Go People identified the need for an affordable business solution that provided retailers with greater control and flexibility to further streamline deliveries and drive costs down.
Wang is confident the delivery dispatching software will allow Aussie retailers greater flexibility to scale up and down with delivery demand, while minimising the costs associated with managing delivery services inhouse.
Go People’s advanced GoSHIFT Pro software features three subscription models, starting with the free Bronze plan. For more information on the new service, visit http://www.gopeople.com.au/.
