A Supply Management blog this week looks at ways procurement must build bridges with finance.
Their recent CPT Viewpoint survey questioned 200 professionals and a lack of “synergy” between these two teams was highlighted in the responses. A total of 66 per cent said the procurement teams “act as a hindrance, which really underlines the unfavourable light in which procurement processes are viewed by some senior finance managers.”
Worringly, 46 per cent of procurement respondents said they had a very close relationship with finance, compared to just 22 per cent of finance talking about procurement.
